Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Anju Dodiya was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Indian Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2006. The price achieved of USD 21,600.00 (€ 17,025.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anju Dodiya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cocoon in September last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 334,866.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Anju Dodiya wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Indian Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 21.600,00 (€ 17.025,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anju Dodiya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cocoon im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 334.866,61).
