In February 2007 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Self-Portrait) by Anju Dodiya. The »bidding war« ended at USD 33,600.00 (€ 25,396.83), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anju Dodiya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cocoon in September last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 334,866.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2007 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Self-Portrait) von Anju Dodiya zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 33.600,00 (€ 25.396,83) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anju Dodiya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cocoon im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 334.866,61).
