In September 2008 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work The Churning by Anju Dodiya. The »bidding war« ended at USD 122,500.00 (€ 86,996.66), 53% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anju Dodiya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cocoon, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 327,600.00 (€ 334,866.61).

Im September 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Churning von Anju Dodiya zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 86.996,66) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Anju Dodiya mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cocoon beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 327.600,00 (€ 334.866,61) versteigert wurde.
