Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anjolie Ela Menon could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Indian Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 7,908.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anjolie Ela Menon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 118,625.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anjolie Ela Menon konnte im März 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Indian Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 12.500,00 (€ 7.908,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
