In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Beach Scene) sold for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,478.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anjolie Ela Menon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 118,625.92).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Anjolie Ela Menon erzielte im September 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Beach Scene) für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.478,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anjolie Ela Menon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 118.625,92).
