Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lago Maggiore by Angelo Morbelli was sold in the 19th Century European & Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 170,500.00 (€ 202,590.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Angelo Morbelli have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2016 the work Vecchie Calzette was auctioned for GBP 341,000.00 (€ 398,684.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lago Maggiore von Angelo Morbelli wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 170.500,00 (€ 202.590,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Angelo Morbelli konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2016 die Arbeit Vecchie Calzette für GBP 341.000,00 (€ 398.684,33) versteigert.
