Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Angelo Maria Crivelli could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction, the work A Wooded Landscape With Hares And A Woodpecker Surprised By A Falcon changed hands for EUR 6,250.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Angelo Maria Crivelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ducks and a curlew in a pond in a wooded landscape; and Rabbits and pheasants in a wooded landscape in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 35,250.00 (€ 56,093.85).
