Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2003 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Bush Plum Dreaming by Angelina Pwerle. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 6,462.50 (€ 3,817.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Angelina Pwerle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work BUSH PLUM, 2006 in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 25,200.00 (€ 20,605.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2003 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bush Plum Dreaming von Angelina Pwerle zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 6.462,50 (€ 3.817,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angelina Pwerle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit BUSH PLUM, 2006 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 20.605,07).
