The »bidding war« ended at USD 134,500.00 (€ 99,977.70), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ángel Zárraga - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La novia, which sold at auction in June 2000 for USD 292,000.00 (€ 305,919.33).

Für andere Arbeiten von Ángel Zárraga mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La novia beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für USD 292.000,00 (€ 305.919,33) versteigert wurde.
