Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Angel Otero could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Untitled (SK-QE) changed hands for HKD 650,000.00 (€ 77,168.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Angel Otero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figuring You Out in November last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 317,349.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Angel Otero konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (SK-QE) für HKD 650.000,00 (€ 77.168,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angel Otero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figuring You Out im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 317.349,61).
