This artwork by Angel Otero achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Bingo Night sold for HKD 2,016,000.00 (€ 241,588.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Angel Otero; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Figuring You Out sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of USD 327,600.00 (€ 317,349.61).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Angel Otero erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Bingo Night für HKD 2.016.000,00 (€ 241.588,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Angel Otero; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Figuring You Out im November letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 317.349,61).
