Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included the work El gato feo by Ángel Botello. It changed hands for a price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,018.54) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ángel Botello achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Niña durmiendo in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 397,000.00 (€ 270,288.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit El gato feo von Ángel Botello zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.018,54) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ángel Botello erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Niña durmiendo im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 397.000,00 (€ 270.288,67).
