Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Andy Warhol achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in July 2021. In the Heatwave: Online Auction auction, the work Male Costume Figure sold for GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,820.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andy Warhol erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Heatwave: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Male Costume Figure für GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.820,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
