Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Farm Machine by Andrew Wyeth. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,803.02). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Day Dream in November last year with an auction result of USD 23,290,000.00 (€ 22,561,270.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Farm Machine von Andrew Wyeth zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.803,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrew Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Day Dream im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.290.000,00 (€ 22.561.270,95).
