Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andrew Nicholl could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE IRISH SALE auction, the work Red Bay Castle, Co. Antrim changed hands for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,834.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Nicholl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poppies, cornflowers and daisies on Killiney Hill; Killiney Bay, Bray Head and the Sugar Loaf mountain in the distance in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 21,150.00 (€ 33,937.95).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Andrew Nicholl konnte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
