Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Lake Landscape With Cattle Grazing And A Castle Beyond by Andrew Nicholl was sold in the The 10th Anniversary Irish Sale auction at Christies in London in May 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,305.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Andrew Nicholl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poppies, cornflowers and daisies on Killiney Hill; Killiney Bay, Bray Head and the Sugar Loaf mountain in the distance in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 21,150.00 (€ 33,937.95).
