Despite a disappointment, a good price for Andrew MacCallum
When the work Twilight, Burnham Beeches by Andrew MacCallum was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,434.92). Despite this disappointing result, Twilight, Burnham Beeches is the most expensive artwork by Andrew MacCallum that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Andrew MacCallum
Als die Arbeit Twilight, Burnham Beeches von Andrew MacCallum im November 2003 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.572,50 (€ 9.434,92) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Twilight, Burnham Beeches das teuerste Kunstwerk von Andrew MacCallum, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
