This artwork by Andrew Geddes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2012. In the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction, the work Portrait Of Cardinal Thomas Weld (1773-1837) sold for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 26,207.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Andrew Geddes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of Flora Bellasis, three-quarter-length, in Indian Parsi dress sold at auction in October 2006 with the realized price of GBP 19,200.00 (€ 28,686.51).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Andrew Geddes erzielte im Dezember 2012 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
