Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in Los Angeles held the auction CALIFORNIA WESTERN&AMERICAN PAINTINGS DRAWINGS&SCULPTURE, which included the work Adobes in Landscape by Andrew Dasburg. It changed hands for a price of USD 23,500.00 (€ 27,692.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andrew Dasburg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 220,789.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in Los Angeles die Auktion CALIFORNIA WESTERN&AMERICAN PAINTINGS DRAWINGS&SCULPTURE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Adobes in Landscape von Andrew Dasburg zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 23.500,00 (€ 27.692,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrew Dasburg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 220.789,54).
