Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Photographs, which included the work Untitled (Selected Envelopes) by Andrew Bush. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,867.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew Bush - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Envelopes), which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 7,050.00 (€ 8,307.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Selected Envelopes) von Andrew Bush zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.867,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrew Bush mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Envelopes) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 7.050,00 (€ 8.307,80) versteigert wurde.
