Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Winged Victory' by Andres Serrano was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,635.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andres Serrano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piss Christ in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 233,776.85).

Die Arbeit 'Winged Victory' von Andres Serrano kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.635,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andres Serrano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piss Christ im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 233.776,85).
