Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'White Christ' by Andres Serrano was sold in the Contemporary Photographs auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,860.00 (€ 11,997.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andres Serrano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piss Christ in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 233,776.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'White Christ' von Andres Serrano wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Photographs bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 11.997,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andres Serrano erzielen.
