Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Table by Andrei Grositsky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,504.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrei Grositsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian Bull, 1990, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 15,255.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Table von Andrei Grositsky kam im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.504,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrei Grositsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russian Bull, 1990 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 15.255,65) versteigert wurde.
