Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mary Magdalene by Andrea Vaccaro was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings auction at Christies in New York in January 2004. The price achieved of USD 15,535.00 (€ 12,475.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Vaccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lot And His Daughters in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 356,725.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mary Magdalene von Andrea Vaccaro wurde im Januar 2004 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.535,00 (€ 12.475,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea Vaccaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lot And His Daughters im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 289.250,00 (€ 356.725,58).
