Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Penitent Magdalene by Andrea Vaccaro was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2011. It achieved a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,958.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Vaccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lot And His Daughters in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 356,725.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Penitent Magdalene von Andrea Vaccaro wurde im Dezember 2011 in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.958,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea Vaccaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lot And His Daughters im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 289.250,00 (€ 356.725,58).
