Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Penitent Magdalene by Andrea Vaccaro was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,921.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Vaccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lot And His Daughters in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 356,725.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Penitent Magdalene von Andrea Vaccaro kam im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.921,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea Vaccaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lot And His Daughters im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 289.250,00 (€ 356.725,58).
