Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work La signora, l'ombra e la luce by Andrea Martinelli was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 312.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Martinelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande volto di uomo (dittico no1); sequenza no2 in September 2012 with an auction result of EUR 11,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit La signora, l'ombra e la luce von Andrea Martinelli im September 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 312,50 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea Martinelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande volto di uomo (dittico no1); sequenza no2 im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.250,00.
