The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,250.00 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrea Martinelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grande volto di uomo (dittico no1); sequenza no2, which sold at auction in September 2012 for EUR 11,250.00.

Die Arbeit Il volto del grande nonno VI von Andrea Martinelli wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.250,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrea Martinelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grande volto di uomo (dittico no1); sequenza no2 beobachtet, die im September 2012 für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert wurde.
