In January 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work An Antique Sacrifice by Andrea Boscoli. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,385.75), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Andrea Boscoli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Triumphal Procession Of Bacchus in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,215.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Antique Sacrifice von Andrea Boscoli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.385,75) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrea Boscoli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Triumphal Procession Of Bacchus im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.215,23).
