Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A battle scene with soldiers assaulting a city and a study of a frieze (recto); Studies of a doorway with an elaborate lunette and a lunette with the arms of Pope Leo XI de'Medici supported by putti and flanked by the Virgin and Saint Agatha (verso) by Andrea Boscoli was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2008. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,176.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Boscoli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Triumphal Procession Of Bacchus in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,215.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A battle scene with soldiers assaulting a city and a study of a frieze (recto); Studies of a doorway with an elaborate lunette and a lunette with the arms of Pope Leo XI de'Medici supported by putti and flanked by the Virgin and Saint Agatha (verso) von Andrea Boscoli kam im Juli 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
