Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in London held the auction Picassomania, which included the work Portrait de Picasso by André Villers. The price achieved of EUR 1,024.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Villers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Young Gentleman, In Grey Silk Coat With Large Buttons Engraved With The Initials A And G Respectively, Turquoise And Yellow Striped Waistcoat, Frilled White Shirt And Knotted Scarf, Powdered Hair in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,384.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Picassomania durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait de Picasso von André Villers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.024,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Villers erzielen.
