Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2006 Christies in Paris held the auction Intérieurs, which included the work Assiette by Andre Metthey. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 336.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Andre Metthey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cinq Coupes Et Trois Bols in June 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,440.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Intérieurs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Assiette von Andre Metthey zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 336,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andre Metthey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cinq Coupes Et Trois Bols im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.440,00.
