In December 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection, which included the work The Eiffel Tower, Paris by André Kertész. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,605.89), 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Kertész achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Atelier Mondrian, Paris in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 314,000.00 (€ 370,021.21).

Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Eiffel Tower, Paris von André Kertész zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.605,89) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Kertész erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Atelier Mondrian, Paris im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.000,00 (€ 370.021,21).
