Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by André Hambourg could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist & Modern Art auction, the work Le voilier échoué (gros temps) changed hands for USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,150.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by André Hambourg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Première de planches à voile dans l'estuaire de la Touques in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,164.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von André Hambourg konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art wechselte die Arbeit Le voilier échoué (gros temps) für USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.150,87) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von André Hambourg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Première de planches à voile dans l'estuaire de la Touques im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.164,27).
