This artwork by André Derain achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2010. In the Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art auction, the work Pierrot sold for USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,242.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Derain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arbres À Collioure in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 16,281,250.00 (€ 19,799,515.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von André Derain erzielte im Oktober 2010 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Pierrot für USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.242,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Derain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arbres À Collioure im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.281.250,00 (€ 19.799.515,40).
