In June 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Arbres À Collioure by André Derain. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,281,250.00 (€ 19,799,515.40), 16% above the upper estimate. With this result, Arbres À Collioure is even the most expensive work of art by André Derain that we have observed at auctions so far.
