Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by André Cottavoz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. In the Impressionist & Modern Art auction, the work Plage de Cannes sold for USD 11,475.00 (€ 10,166.56) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by André Cottavoz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Venise, Place San Marco, 1971 sold at auction in July 2008 with the realized price of EUR 18,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von André Cottavoz erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Plage de Cannes für USD 11.475,00 (€ 10.166,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von André Cottavoz; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Venise, Place San Marco, 1971 im Juli 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 18.000,00.
