Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Tevye the Milkman and The little Goat and Song of Songs Illustrations to Sholem Aleichem 'Tevye the milkman', in two volumes, Leningrad, Khudozhnik RSFSR, 1961. by Anatoli L. Kaplan was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,024.27). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anatoli L. Kaplan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian The Red Bedroom, 1978, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,058.58).

Die Arbeit Tevye the Milkman and The little Goat and Song of Songs Illustrations to Sholem Aleichem 'Tevye the milkman', in two volumes, Leningrad, Khudozhnik RSFSR, 1961. von Anatoli L. Kaplan kam im Juni 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.024,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Anatoli L. Kaplan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russian The Red Bedroom, 1978 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.058,58) versteigert wurde.
