In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Iken River by Amy Katherine Browning. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 420.00 (€ 601.78), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Amy Katherine Browning have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Glass Bowl in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,246.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iken River von Amy Katherine Browning zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 420,00 (€ 601,78) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amy Katherine Browning auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Glass Bowl im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.246,63).
