Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Fruit in a wicker basket with a lizard and a Red Admiral butterfly on a stone ledge by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Younger. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,054.63), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Früchtestilleben mit Muscheln und Insekten. in September 2007 with an auction result of CHF 721,500.00 (€ 434,706.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fruit in a wicker basket with a lizard and a Red Admiral butterfly on a stone ledge von Ambrosius Bosschaert the Younger zur Versteigerung kam.
