Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction The Collection of Amalia de Schulthess Online, which included the work Chair Still Life (from the Chair Series), by Amalia de Schulthess. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 765.00 (€ 675.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amalia de Schulthess achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Canto d'Estate No. II, Variation No. XVIIII in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,575.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion The Collection of Amalia de Schulthess Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chair Still Life (from the Chair Series), von Amalia de Schulthess zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 765,00 (€ 675,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amalia de Schulthess erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Canto d'Estate No. II, Variation No. XVIIII im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.575,46).
