Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans Titre, Circa 1970 by Amadou Seck was sold in the African Contemporary Art Online auction at Artcurial in March last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,968.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Amadou Seck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dignitaire, 1980, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 5,460.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans Titre, Circa 1970 von Amadou Seck wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion African Contemporary Art Online bei Artcurial versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.968,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Amadou Seck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dignitaire, 1980 beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 5.460,00 versteigert wurde.
