A top price for Amadou Seck - as previously expected
In June 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction African Contemporary Art, which included the work Dignitaire, 1980 by Amadou Seck. The price achieved of EUR 5,460.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dignitaire, 1980 is the most expensive artwork by Amadou Seck that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion African Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dignitaire, 1980 von Amadou Seck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.460,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Dignitaire, 1980 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Amadou Seck, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
