Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French Soir D'Automne by Alphonse Osbert was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,068.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alphonse Osbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In The Evening'S Tranquility in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 52,500.00.

Die Arbeit French Soir D'Automne von Alphonse Osbert kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.068,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alphonse Osbert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In The Evening'S Tranquility im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.500,00.
