Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French Muses Au Bord De L'Eau by Alphonse Osbert was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,113.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alphonse Osbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In The Evening'S Tranquility, which sold at auction in November 2017 for EUR 52,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit French Muses Au Bord De L'Eau von Alphonse Osbert kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.113,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alphonse Osbert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In The Evening'S Tranquility beobachtet, die im November 2017 für EUR 52.500,00 versteigert wurde.
