Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,151.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alphonse Legros - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Female Torso, which sold at auction in December 2013 for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,539.12).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.151,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
