In June 2017 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction Swiss Art / Swiss Made, which included the work Adoration Des Mages Maratti by Aloïse Corbaz. The result of CHF 5,000.00 (€ 4,571.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of CHF 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aloïse Corbaz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aristoloches (double-sided), circa 1925-1933 in January 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 110,637.27).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2017 führte Sothebys in Zürich die Auktion Swiss Art / Swiss Made durch, in der auch die Arbeit Adoration Des Mages Maratti von Aloïse Corbaz zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von CHF 5.000,00 (€ 4.571,03) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CHF 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aloïse Corbaz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aristoloches (double-sided), circa 1925-1933 im Januar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 110.637,27).
