Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction African Contemporary Art, which included the work My God I Thank You For Not Creating Me A Wolf But Rather A Human Being, 2014 by Kwame Akoto. The price achieved of EUR 2,624.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kwame Akoto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'The Seven Sins of Man' and 'Witches Camp', which sold at auction in March 2019 for GBP 6,312.00 (€ 7,326.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion African Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit My God I Thank You For Not Creating Me A Wolf But Rather A Human Being, 2014 von Kwame Akoto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.624,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kwame Akoto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'The Seven Sins of Man' and 'Witches Camp' beobachtet, die im März 2019 für GBP 6.312,00 (€ 7.326,15) versteigert wurde.
