Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction African Contemporary Art, which included the work My God, I Thank You For Creating Me A Human Being And Not A Lion, 2011 by Kwame Akoto. The price achieved of EUR 5,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Kwame Akoto have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2019 the work 'The Seven Sins of Man' and 'Witches Camp' was auctioned for GBP 6,312.00 (€ 7,326.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion African Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit My God, I Thank You For Creating Me A Human Being And Not A Lion, 2011 von Kwame Akoto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Kwame Akoto konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2019 die Arbeit 'The Seven Sins of Man' and 'Witches Camp' für GBP 6.312,00 (€ 7.326,15) versteigert.
