Auction result well in line with expectations
The work H.M.S. Queen Mary lying at anchor in Portsmouth Harbour by Alma Claude Burlton Cull was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in November 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,313.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Alma Claude Burlton Cull have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The German Fleet, Under Escort To Scapa Flow, After Its Surrender In November 1918 (Illustrated) in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,484.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit H.M.S. Queen Mary lying at anchor in Portsmouth Harbour von Alma Claude Burlton Cull wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.313,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00.
